Cheshire DisAbility Services Papua New Guinea delivers a range of programmes supporting people with disabilities, their families, and communities. Its key programmes include Community-Based Rehabilitation and Inclusive Development (CBRID), which provides rehabilitation, therapy, assistive devices, and support within people’s homes and communities; Inclusive Education, which supports children with disabilities to access and remain in mainstream education through early intervention, teacher support, and collaboration with schools; Medical Rehabilitation and Habilitation, providing assessment, therapy, rehabilitation, and assistive technology to improve functional independence; and Livelihood and Economic Empowerment, which helps people with disabilities develop skills and access opportunities for income generation and greater economic participation. The organisation also conducts Disability Awareness, Advocacy and Community Inclusion activities to promote disability rights, reduce stigma, strengthen community participation, and encourage more inclusive services and environments.
